The Jefferson Parish Water Department is urging East Bank and West Bank residents to conserve water as soon as possible to help minimize overloading the system, which could result in a boil water advisory. Temperatures are expected to surpass 30 degrees around 9 a.m., therefore residents can now stop trickling water. Please also continue to limit non-essential activities like washing dishes and doing laundry.

According to the National Weather Service, an extremely cold air mass is expected to reach our area. A hard freeze and low temperatures will begin on Monday, January 20, 2025, and could last through Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Westwego City Hall will be CLOSED on MONDAY for Martin Luther King Jr Day And CLOSED on TUESDAY January 21st. **We will keep a close eye on the Weather and keep you updated for Wednesday weather.
