The Westwego Volunteer Fire Company #1 proudly protects the residents of Westwego operating 3 stations with a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters. Their efforts and dedication allow citizens to receive a reduction in insurance rates. The membership takes immense pride in providing the best possible service in all emergencies and is heavily relied upon the community.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, you may obtain an application from the Administrative Office, located at the main station at 1000 Fourth Street. The requirements include that you must be 18 years of age and have no criminal record. Call 504-347-7385 for more information.
